Kuppam Engineering College (KEC) was inaugurated by the technology savvy Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri. N. Chandra Babu Naidu garu on 11-09-2001. The Institute was promoted by a well-Known Philanthropist Mr. B. C. Nagaraj, Founder Chairman of BCN Group of Institutions. KEC is accredited by NAAC, certified by ISO 9001:2008 and recognized by UGC under 2(F) & 12(B). KEC is graded ‘A’ by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Dr. N. Sunilraj, M.B.B.S., young and dynamic Vice-Chairman is working with an objective for phenomenal growth of the Institution and for its autonomous status in the near future. The Institute is headed by a dynamic Principal, Dr. S. Sudhakar Babu who has good academic and administrative experience.
Library & Information Centre
The Central Library of the college is well furnished with a carpet area of 711 Sq.mts. which can accommodate about 250 students. The library caters to the need of more than 2000 students, teachers, non-teaching staff and research scholars for various departments. It ensures support and aids with books and electronic resources for teaching, research and extension programs. The books are arranged and classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. All faculty and students are the members of the library.
An outgoing student of K.E.C. is entitled to become a member of K.E.C Alumni Association by paying a Registration fee of Rs. 100/- (One Hundred Only) and become a life member. The placement officer reserves the right is revise the registration fee. The outgoing student who desires to the life member is expected to furnish his/her Name, Roll No, Address for correspondence, E-mail etc., to the K.E.C. placement & Training cell.
The Red Hat Academy Powered by Plexus was inaugurated at Kuppam Engineering college on 12th July 2017. The program was graced by the Management Kuppam Engineering College, Vice Principal, HOD CSE, Faculty Members, Members of Career Development Cell, Students, Officials from Red Hat and Plexus Networks. With the objective of enhancing the penetration of open source technology, Red Hat introduced the ‘Red Hat Academy‘program for science and engineering institutions. The program equips institutions with a hands-on instruction curriculum and physical labs, performance-based testing, and educator support. By offering these certifications, the academic institution can add value to its existing IT education programs and prepare its students for global opportunities
